Dr George Tsalov has two practices, 20 Irechek St is one of the most
fantastic dental surgeries and an absolute pleasure to witness.
On arrival, I was invited to use the ‘Sanitary Shoe Cover Dispenser’ an ingenious machine from China, an increasing concern became that the reason for the visit was “lost in translation”. The waiting room was practical and stylish with a wall-mounted TV and only one other occupant who appeared increasingly less-stressed.
Having been mislead by lawyers, excessively well-travelled in taxis and ripped-off in restaurants expectation of customer service in Bulgaria is non-existent. Dr Tsalov has the most fantastic teeth, evident through the broadest smile that accompanied a firm handshake. A guided tour of the three treatment rooms and support facilities demonstrated Dr Tsalov’s pride in the most advanced techniques on offer. There is even a rear entrance for their VIP clientele, with a second shoe-cover dispenser!
Dr Tsalov originally qualified in Bulgaria but a range of specialist techniques from Implantology to Periodontology were then mastered in Switzerland, Italy, Vienna and Paris. Dr Tsalov is ably supported by Dr Daniel Mishen, “the best surgical orthodontist”.
The procedures discussed included implants, assured to be a painless process taking up to four months but whatever the procedure offered at St George - a client is NEVER WITHOUT TEETH. Porcelain veneers require only two visits, denture wearers can painlessly have permanently fixed upper and lower sets that need restoring every five years or more.
Dr Tsalov was keen to impress that there is no dual-pricing (Bulgarian and foreigner) in operation, but more so that they are doctors first and then a business. Whether a dental emergency or as part of wellness tourism in Bulgaria, any initial concerns were replaced with confidence and respect.
