In any tourist destination in Bulgaria (BG) you will find a room similar to that in any European country. The rack rates (quoted in euro) also vary considerably as do the facilities (a hotel in Stara Zagora provides branded condoms next to the shampoo and gel). You can book a room when in BG, even in peak season, though it may not be your first choice. Beware of “discounts” on-line and compare the range of facilities against rack rate. With rack rates generally higher than most of Europe and star allocation subject to brown paper envelopes, caveat emptor (let the buyer beware). In 2007, we booked over a 1,000 room nights through advantageous corporate rates and this was through just four hotels. The hotels were the Kempinski, Sofia Princess, Lozenetz and Brod.

Our clients included people doing business in Sofia, groups of property investors, charity representatives and tourists.
